After a scientific education (PhD in Applied Mathematics), Dr Catherine Dupont Gatelmand joined the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) as a researcher in Artificial Intelligence. She soon became a specialist in Flexible Manufacturing Systems and was appointed Scientific Advisor at Renault Automation, a machine tools and systems supplier.
From then on, she worked in the automotive industry, at Renault and at global suppliers (Sommer Allibert, Faurecia and Delphi). She built a strong expertise in technical, industrial and commercial domains, managing high level international teams, global technical networks as well as sales and marketing networks. She also managed operations around the world, restructuring plants and involving multiple production sites and high tech products.
In 2012 she became a member of the Executive Committee of the Strategic Investment Fund (FSI), the French Sovereign Fund, where she managed the Automotive Funds. She was also a board member of several automotive suppliers.
In 2013 she was elected as the Automotive Woman of the Year.
She is a member of the Scientific and Strategic Committee of VEDECOM (Institute for mobility and decarbonated, connected and autonomous vehicles).
She graduated at Insead (AMP) and is also a member of Business Angels networks, of the Women Corporate Directors network (WCD) and of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SIA).
